HFP received news on Friday, July 15 that our expanded Health Center Controlled Network has been funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for the three year cycle of 2022-2025.  This cooperative agreement funded at $1,040,817 for the 2022-2023 grant year supports HFP’s work with 33 community health centers in Pennsylvania in support of their capacity to leverage health

Philadelphians across the city can now get tested for COVID-19 in dozens of sites throughout Philadelphia.  Many of these sites are Health Federation member FQHCs. With widespread testing now available, officials aren’t expecting any issues with capacity and patients showing symptoms and who fit the criteria can and should get tested and remain in isolation until they receive their results.

The award was established this year in honor of AmeriCorps National Service Recognition Day to honor one member from each of the six NHC locations across the United States who exemplifies the AmeriCorps ethic of service and goes above and beyond to serve their communities. Awardees were nominated by fellow members or host site supervisors, and a review panel made final selections based on evidence of each nominee's strong ethic of service, efforts to go above and beyond their assigned responsibilities, and exceptional performance in NHC.

Leslie Lieberman, Senior Director of Training and Organizational Development and Health Federation of Philadelphia Board Member, Joe Pyle, have been selected to be part of Governor Wolf's new 25 person state-wide Trauma Informed Think Tank.  The geographically and professionally diverse group of "cutting-edge thinkers" regarding ACEs, trauma and resilience, will meet frequently over the next 3
