Holly Hainsworth, MA, will give a presentation on digital navigation and its role in the community health center space as part of the Digital Health Equity Taskforce annual meeting this week.

Hainsworth is the Director of Population Health Initiatives for the Health Federation of Philadelphia.

In her presentation, titled Bridging the Digital Health Gap in Community Health Centers, Hainsworth will provide a high level overview of the various ways HFP has deployed Digital Navigation programming in the Community Health Center space, HFP’s model of Digital Health Navigation and how it has evolved, and the components needed to adequately train and prepare staff for digital health navigation work.

HFP recently received two years of funding from the City of Philadelphia’s Digital Literacy Alliance for the Building Digital Resiliency Project. This project, led by Hainsworth and Kiera Kenney, will place two Digital Health Navigators in public health-focused community-based organizations and/or community health centers in Philadelphia and will provide Digital Health Navigation training to National Health Corps volunteers and other frontline staff to support improving the use of digital health tools and access to healthcare through digital inclusion.

Prior to joining HFP, Holly spent nearly a decade working in community health centers in both Philadelphia and New York City in roles focused on the federal 340B program, health insurance eligibility and enrollment, and health equity.

The annual meeting is Feb. 6 at the Jefferson Center for Connected Care. The goal of the event is to bring together those working at the intersection of healthcare and technology and highlight some of the promising work happening around Philadelphia.
