HFP awarded 2023 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America

Mental Health America Bell Seal Recipient

PHILADELPHIA (March 29, 2023) — The Health Federation of Philadelphia (HFP) is extremely proud to announce it has been awarded the 2023 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America. This is the second year in a row HFP has received the award at the platinum level. The Bell Seal is a first-of-its-kind workplace mental health certification that recognizes employers who strive to create mentally healthy workplaces for their employees.

“We are honored to be recognized for a second year in a row by Mental Health America for the work we have done to create a healthy work environment for our employees,” Natalie Levkovich, CEO of HFP, said. “Employees who are treated with consideration for their personal, professional and family needs and who are encouraged to be their best selves are more likely to be loyal to the organization and to work to a high standard of quality and productivity.”

Mental Health America, founded in 1909, is one of the nation’s leading community-based nonprofits dedicated to addressing the overall mental health of all people. In 2019, the organization introduced the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health to recognize companies and organizations that understand the value of addressing mental health at work and implement policies and practices that support employee well-being. The Bell Seal recognizes employer advances in workplace mental health by awarding Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum recognition levels.

HFP underwent a rigorous evaluation of its policies and practices in four areas: workplace culture, benefits, compliance, and wellness programs. HFP’s status as a Bell Seal-certified organization demonstrates its ongoing commitment to employee mental health and well-being.

“We are committed to providing the best for our employees and look forward to ensuring we uphold the standards set forth by the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health,” Levkovich said. “Doing so has always been for us both the right and the pragmatic thing to do.”
