Meet Trainer Donald Jackson

Community Advocate. Artist. Educator.

Donald comes from a background rooted within the direct service field, along with being an advocate for the LGBTQ and Homeless communities. He has spent the past 8 years holding positions that provide direct social service supports to some the most vulnerable populations in the city. He is also a founding member of the YALC (Young Adult Leadership Committee) a subcommittee of the COC Board for the Office of Homeless Services as well as being a previous voting member on the COC (Continuum of Care) Board. His passion for training/facilitating stems from his previous 2-years of experience working within the Bryson Institute as a Trainer. He developed curricula and provided trainings to multiple agencies and organizations surrounding LGBTQ cultural competency in workplace and other social environments. 

Fun Fact: Donald is a poet and spoken word artist. He starting writing when he was 14 and had his first poem published when he was 15. Donald also enjoys working out and hopes to soon become a personal trainer.
