Job Summary

The SBIRT Project Data Specialist plays a key role in supporting the SAMHSA funded SBIRT Project, which involves implementation of systematic substance abuse screening and treatment of primary care patients at 20 health center sites in Southeast Pennsylvania. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with the SBIRT Project Director, SBIRT Project Coordinator, and the SBIRT Project Assistant to assist with the implementation of project activities including engagement and collaboration with clinical partners. This position will directly report to the SBIRT Project Director.  

Job Specifications

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Assist with reporting of various clinical data pertaining to the SBIRT Project
  • Preform interviews with a cohort of selected participants of the SBIRT Project 
  • Assist with reviewing of clinical reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with maintaining a systematic process for communications, information sharing, problem solving and accountability with the SBIRT Project Team 
  • Work in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure programmatic goals are met in a timely manner 
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks independently
  • Perform other duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the role

Qualifications

Education

Post-secondary education or a combination of education and experience that reflects the skills identified in this position description. 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Ability to use a computer effectively to retrieve and input clinical data from multiple systems and web-based applications
  • Experience interviewing individuals on personal and sensitive topics
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to ensure assigned actives are conducted according to timeline
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the Internet 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with community health and human service agencies or programs; experience with behavioral health or substance abuse preferred
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • High attention to detail
  • Highly organized, excellent time management skills and systems oriented 

Position Type and Work Schedule: 

This is a full time, non-exempt position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. 

Work Environment: 

Standard office setting at a workstation and periodic use of office equipment. This position will require a mix of remote and in-person work accordance with public health guidance and Health Federation of Philadelphia policies. 

Physical Demands: 

Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

Travel:  

Local travel to multiple sites, upon request

Salary and Benefits: 

45,000 - 50,000
