The Philadelphia Immunization Coalition is a non-profit organization that focuses on championing immunization programs and platforms in Philadelphia County. Run by a board of local public health professionals, PIC provides services such as education, advocacy, training, and education to area providers and the public. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Responsibilities/Duties

  • The position of PIC Membership Engagement Coordinator would work with the PIC board to advance programs and initiatives in Philadelphia County. Some responsibilities include:
  • Maintain membership lists for PIC, including updating, cleaning, and membership retainment.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to expand upon existing membership.
  • Identify work groups for all existing and future members.
  • Maintain and build community partnerships.
  • Present and pitch PIC to various audiences, both online and in-person.
  • Assist with planning and administrative duties for PIC events.
  • Work with PIC Coordinator to plan and execute quarterly trainings.
  • Work with PIC Coordinator to plan bi-annual (or annual) in-person conferences.
  • Assist with maintenance of social media accounts, including development and identification of content.
  • Assist with updates to PIC website and creation of content.
  • Work with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to advance the immunization platform for pediatrics and adults.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university and at least one year experience working at a health department, in healthcare administration, or in customer service or High school diploma or GED with 3 to 5 years of experience working at a health department, in healthcare administration, or in customer or an equivalent combination of education.

Skills/Experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in public health or healthcare more broadly.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and their usability
  • Knowledge of WordPress and website configurations

Work Environment:

Standard office setting at workstation and periodic use of office equipment. This position will initially be fully remote and will transition to in-person work in accordance with public health guidance. Will be required to report to office to receive work-laptop and other equipment, as necessary.

Position Type and Work Schedule:

Full time position, typical hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Flex office schedule options available with supervisor approval.

Travel:

Some travel may be necessary provided that public health guidance allows it.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Salary and Benefits
