JOB SUMMARY

The Philadelphia Immunization Coalition is a non-profit organization that focuses on championing immunization programs and platforms in Philadelphia County. Run by a board of local public health professionals, PIC provides services such as education, advocacy, training, and education to area providers and the public. This position also works closely with PDPH to advance mutually beneficial programs and projects. The position of PIC Program Coordinator would work with the PIC board and PDPH to advance programs and initiatives in Philadelphia County

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Maintain membership lists for PIC, including updating, cleaning, and membership retainment.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to expand upon existing membership.
  • Identify work groups for all existing and future members.
  • Maintain and build community partnerships.
  • Present and pitch PIC to various audiences, both online and in-person.
  • Assist with planning and administrative duties for PIC events.
  • Work with PIC Coordinator to plan and execute quarterly trainings.
  • Work with PIC Coordinator to plan bi-annual (or annual) in-person conferences.
  • Assist with maintenance of social media accounts, including development and identification of content.
  • Assist with updates to PIC website and creation of content.
  • Work with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to advance the immunization platform for pediatrics and adults.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university and at least one year experience working at a health department, in healthcare administration, or in customer service or High school diploma or GED with 3 to 5 years of experience working at a health department, in healthcare administration, or in customer, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills/Experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in public health or healthcare more broadly.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and their usability
  • Knowledge of WordPress and website configurations

Work Environment:

Standard office setting at workstation and periodic use of office equipment. This position is part-time remote and will transition to in-person work in accordance with public health guidance. Will be required to report to office to receive work-laptop and other equipment, as necessary.

Position Type and Work Schedule:

Full time position, typical hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Flex office schedule options available with supervisor approval. Position funded through 6/30/2024

Travel:

Some travel may be necessary provided that public health guidance allows it.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 25lbs.
