HFP Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator receives Coverage Champion Award by PACHC

Christina Kappiuzhathil, the Health Federation of Philadelphia’s (HFP) Affordable Care Act outreach and enrollment coordinator recently accepted the 2017 Coverage Champion Award for Primary Care Excellence from the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC).

The Coverage Champion Award is presented to an individual or health center team who has captured the true essence of outreach and enrollment by developing successful strategies to promote enrollment and displaying passion and commitment to achieve successful enrollment. In addition the Coverage Champion recipient is an advocate for health care access as a right for all rather than a privilege for a few.

Kappiuzhathil has worked for HFP since 2013 where she has used her expertise in health policy to help improve healthcare for underserved populations. She currently leads a team of insurance navigators to educate and assist thousands of Philadelphia residents with their health insurance needs. She has worked to help people throughout the region obtain health insurance through the Affordable Care Act since the first open enrollment period.
