Provides support for at-risk families through regular opportunities for information, skills-building, and mutual support in a group setting with the goals of increasing parents’ knowledge about child abuse and neglect, anger management techniques, child development, responsiveness and alternatives to corporal punishment; providing parents with referrals, based on documented, individual needs; and encouraging parents to participate in activities at their child’s school/center.
