ACEs & Brain Development
The ACE Study is an ongoing collaboration between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Kaiser Permanente. Led by Co-principal Investigators Robert F. Anda, MD, MS, and Vincent J. Felitti, MD, the ACE Study is perhaps the largest scientific research study of its kind, analyzing the relationship between multiple categories of childhood trauma (ACEs), and health and behavioral outcomes later in life. Health Federation is committed to taking the original ACES Study science and translating it into practice for a variety of professionals serving different consumer groups. Our ACE-related professional development provides a variety of content meant to deepen awareness and to strengthen staff skills in working with individuals and families with histories of adversity, whether at the individual, family, community or organizational level. All courses are adapted to meet your specific professional needs and service audience.
