MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (ETC), Philadelphia Performance Site

The Health Federation of Philadelpia ETC, in collaboration with the Drexel University College of Medicine and School of Public Health, serves as the Philadelphia Performance Site of the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center responsible for serving Eastern Pennsylvania.

Through its regional performance sites, the MidAtlantic AIDS ETC provides HIV/AIDS related training and education to health care providers in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.

Recognized by health care providers as their source of custom-designed training and technical assistance on HIV-related issues, the ETC provides an on-going continuing education process by assessing providers’ educational needs, designing programs that address those needs, evaluating the impact of each program, and providing input to policy and program planners.

Target audiences for these programs are health professionals who provide direct care to people living with HIV disease and AIDS, and include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, dentists and other dental professionals. Targeted practice settings for these programs include Ryan White funded providers, prisons and community health centers. Continuing medical education credits, nursing education credits and CEUs in other health professions are offered.
