Home Grown, a national collaborative of funders, envisions a country in which all children have the care they need to reach their full potential, home-based child care providers offer quality child care, and parents have equal access to quality child care for their children. To achieve this vision, Home Grown will remove policy barriers, strengthen home-based child care practices and business models, and support the growth and recognition of the sector so that all providers offer quality care and parents choose quality care.
Home Grown seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead the organization’s partnership and support of home-based child care provider leaders. Home Grown believes that provider and parent voice should inform policy decisions and action, and we seek to support the leadership development of home-based child care providers. The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, convening, and supporting Home Grown’s network of home-based child care providers receiving grants to lead local grassroots networks. This position will support additional Home Grown initiatives, including Home Grown’s Provider Advisory group and projects with state and local governments to build and sustain effective networks that support home-based child care providers. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, mission-driven, and comfortable in a fast-moving and adaptive environment.
Home Grown is based at the Health Federation of Philadelphia.
