Reports to: Senior Director of Finance and Operations
Supervises: HR Generalist, HR Specialist
Duration: 6 – 9 months, part-time or full-time
Location: 1211 Chestnut; 123 Broad Street Philadelphia

The Human Resources Consultant will be responsible for overseeing the development of an HR Generalist and HR Specialist to best cultivate their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The Consultant will also partner with the team on:
- Complex employee relations matters
- Leaves of Absences
- Transitioning from a self-insured to a fully-insured model
- Open Enrollment
- Change management regarding an upcoming office move
- HR strategies to continue maximizing technology and resources
- Compliance
- Other HR initiatives as they arise

- Bachelor’s Degree
- PHR/SPHR Certification or equivalent course work through Society for Human Resource
- Management or other specialized HR education is preferred
- Minimum five years’ HR leadership experience
- Five years’ experience managing an HRIS, Paycom is a plus
- Expert knowledge of federal, state and local legislation regarding employment
- Five years’ supervisory experience
- Experience with fully-insured model
- Ability to initiate or recommend enhancements or refinements in HR policies, benefits or other
opportunities to improve staff morale and retention
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, HRIS, internet and email software
- Basic knowledge of functions of IT networks and systems
- Ability to work with a variety of cultures and diverse audiences
- Non-profit experience is a plus

Work Environment:
Standard office setting with extended periods at work station and periodic use of office equipment.
